Mission StatementThe University Counseling Center is dedicated to promoting psychological wellbeing that enriches personal and academic growth. PhilosophyShort-term individual and group psychotherapy, referral services, consultations, and psycho-educational programs are provided to assist students in fully and effectively engaging in the opportunities available at the university. A variety of techniques, theoretical orientations, and programs are supported by the Center in its work with students. As an integral part of its philosophy, the Counseling Center is also actively involved in the training of college counseling professionals and clinical research work. It is the goal of the UCC to remain closely connected to and engaged with students, faculty, and staff in their endeavor to secure the achievement of a college experience of the highest quality and satisfaction. |
